Smile New here and sharing some favorites

Hi, my name is Summer and I got a Canon 1000D during a great Black Friday Sale in Nov. 2009. I've long had an interest in photography so I am just loving my new toy! Here are a few of my favorite photos that I've taken thus far (I'm allowed 4 in one thread right?):

Welcome, Summer! So glad you're enjoying your new camera! I love the variety of this set and the way you're experimenting with different subjects and perspectives. That second one with the ivy climbing the tree is wonderful -- very creative!

Thank you both! I saw that tree and thought the contrast of the green ivy laden trunk with the bare branches and foggy sky would look beautiful.

Welcome to DPS Summer. You have a great range of photography subjects showing your different skills. I love the duck one. Good perspective of the ivy.
