I like your geometric shots, rich of details.
The only thing I would try is a larger DoF on the last two. Maybe an HDR too.

On the contrary Lexton, texture is so important in images, and these certainly constitute photography. Sight and touch in humans are very closely related senses, and when a photographer exagerates textures as you have done here, it can evoke strong emotions.You have illustrated the tiny peaks and troughs of this timber well, and I for one appreciate you posting them. I really like this set.....is it an old barn? I see it's made with pegs? instead of nails?
