Default Folding and more folding....

These are the origami "fortune cookies" full of treats that I made for my daughter's birthday. I love all the colors of the paper. They make for such a pleasant visual, I had to capture them before I gave them away to our guests.

Folding and more folding

what will your fortune be?

Thank you and enjoy!!

I love them. There's a website where I buy decorative paper. Sometimes I just like to spend sometime just looking at all the varieties of paper. I get why you would these photos. Look how pretty they all are together. So bright and colorful!

Thank you lady! I thought we live in Japan might as well do something Japanesey (yes I made that word up! ) The Japanese mommy's were really impressed with it. They couldn't even get them back together after the kids opened them. It was a proud moment to have Japanese women who couldn't even do a Japanese art form, and an America had to show them how!!

Lindy, I'm telling you.... the paper here is so pretty and cheap. You can go to the 100 yen store and get 60-70 sheets of colored, and 30 sheets of patterned. Oh and did I tell you that 100 yen is about a dollar? Yep! It was so hard to decide which paper I liked. I pick up and put down so many different kinds.

Hey Mike! There is three sheets of paper per "cookie" Not hard to fold at all, and once you get the hang of it, you can get them done pretty fast. I think it took about 30 minutes to do them all. Maybe a little longer since I was watching TV while I was making them.

You are invited anytime! Just let me know when you will be in Japan, and I'll have some ready and waiting for you I was really proud of myself how they turned out. My Hubs tells me that I "Martha Stewart" everything. Yes, he has made her name into a verb... I find it funny, since I don't even like Martha Stewart!

They sure make a lovely colourful image. I like the haphazard arrangement.
