Default Amish Country

I got to venture out today to take a few photos. I drove not too far to a tiny town called Grabill, which is surrounded by the Amish community. The snow was still on the ground, although today we actually got sunshine. I was watching some horses in a field and suddenly one lost its footing and fell on its side and slid in the snow...he got up and shook its head, i think it saw me with the camera and felt a bit embarrased..Unfortunately it happened so fast that i didnt get the shot..but still it was a sight to see.

Love the Amish parking lot. A very artistic set of photos, I really like them.

Gorgeous shots, beautifully artisitc & the sepia tones are fabulous - love all your PP. I love the bright red barn too - I have a thing for red barns! Brought back some memories for me too - I lived in Philadelphia for 4 years & frequently made it into Amish country around PA. A very humbling experience.

Great shots, Lorraine. They could be from the 1800s for sure. Well done. I like the PP, too! TFS

Thank you Jim...it really does feel like stepping back in time when you see them coming down the road in their wagons...Lovely people and very humble.
