Default Day 10 - Bokeh / DoF Practice

I don't think you could ever practice things enough so I always like to try to take a concept and work on it for a week. This week I am going to try to include Bokeh / DoF as a big part of my pictures. I will take others that catch my eye but I'm going to try to make this my focus.

Here are a few from walking around the yard:

There are more on my flickr. I was just walking around practicing. I hope you enjoy.

Well I must say that making bokeh your focus for a week will be challenging.

I envy your type of yard work.

All very nice shots. They encourage me to strap on the snow shoes and go out in MY yard.

Very good! And it's interesting to see how different the bokeh can be using different focal length lenses and even how different bokeh the same lens can give with varying distances from the subject.

Another great reminder for us Nick (between yourself & Paul, we'll have plenty of tutorial reminders!). I wish I was as disciplined as you to be able to practice one thing for a week - I get too distracted by something out of the corner of my eye & before you know it, I've changed track three times! Loving the bokehs you've achieved here though. The antenna is a cute shot!

Hello Nick - it's nice to have a challenge ... or a goal .. keeps the mind on track - at least for me .... these are very nice photos ... and you certainly achieved what you were after

Thanks all for the great comments. Bokeh out of focus was the classic of the thread!! I'm heading off on a business trip tihs week so it might be a little harder to accomplish but I'm up for the task.
