Default "Sleepless in Seattle"

Another movie/song inspired picture.

Now the pictures of this lovely lady ARE rather grainy, I'll admit. I usually leave the camera at 80 ISO but had changed it to 1600 earlier that day to demonstrate to someone how the higher ISO will affect grain and then forgot to set it back. Didn't notice it till after the shoot (wasn't even looking for it on the camera, since I so rarely change it. *sigh*) So don't critique the grain but feel free to critique the rest of the shots at will, if you'd like.

Here is the pp'ed image of the title.

This was the original image (also after some post-processing) that shows the original angle of her head, original cropping, etc. I did angle her head a bit more to give more of a wistful look as well as give more of an impression of looking down from an upper floor of the building. The original pose was not done with the end image in mind (she was just doing various poses while I was snapping away with the camera.)

(note added after original posting) After looking at the post more, I just realized the lighting is wrong on the title picture. Her face/shadows wouldn't match up unless there was a huge source of light right outside the window. But that just goes to show that I didn't take the original with the end result in mine.

So very creative! Prabbit, you've done a really great job on this. Love the original photo too -- thanks for sharing both in your post.

Wow, what a neat picture! Would you mind sharing how much time you spent doing post-processing? I'm just getting into the pp world and am finding that it takes a lot of time.

very good PP! it looks natural..love the way you tilted the head so as to show that she is resting it on an imaginary glass..

Note: that movie is my favorite Meg Ryan flick..

It wasn't really that long (and I'm not that fast at it myself, yet, either.) Maybe an hour on the title picture, including tracking down a skyline picture to use.

The basic steps were simply cropping down the original, doing any "normal" PP (using healing brush on any moles, smoothing out the skin a bit, etc) and rotating. Then expand the canvas, paste in the skyline as a new layer, copy the original layer and flip it and stretch it ever so slightly sideways and then adjust the opacity of that layer.

It does get faster the more ya work with photoshop. I'm sure there's others here who could have done that pic in about 10 minutes flat.
