Default UK Snow

It's been snowing pretty heavily in the UK for the last week or so. Coldest winter since 1963 apparently. Some good photos oppos presented though. This is my wife, Caroline, at our local National Trust country house.

Taken with a Nikon D70, 50mm f/1.4 prime lens. f/1.4, 1/1600 shutter speed, ISO 250, No EV. I cropped it and fixed the colour cast in iPhoto.

"Welcome" Matthew, to a great site and super community, I hope you enjoy your time here.
Like the image, I do like to visit our "National Trust" sites when I can. We live near Hardwick Hall in the East Midlands and I am just loving getting out and using the weather for inspiration. Have to say only thing I would have changed in your image is I would have cropped it a little closer at the bottom to your lovely wife, I look forward to seeing more of your work soon and I hope you have fun here. Thanks for sharing this with us.
David

I like the sense of scale. Nice photo, and stay warm!

Though it's a stone building, the colours make it look warm - a big contrast to all the cold white snow and the winter clothes your wife is wearing.

It looks freezing! It's been over 30 degrees here all week.
