Default It's tough being a cowboy in the winter

This guy stands guard over our garden 24/7 365 days a year without complaint in all weathers - even when his arm dropped off! His name is Jake and he was made out of an old tree trunk.

I would LOVE to have him guarding my yard! Is he the stump where the tree was cut down, or is he "transplanted" from elsewhere?
We might be taking down a tree (or two) in the spring, some that aren't doing well because of the winter moths, so you may have given me an idea . . . cheaper than getting the stups ground out.

That's a pretty smart idea Andrew, and those weapons look pretty lethal to me. PAUL

He's a transplanted stump with a long metal rod stuck up his you know what to hold him upright!

My Dad made him, he's got about six in his garden an he's a closet cowboy! I once met him off the 'red-eye' and all these American businessmen got off the plane and only one person was wearing a cowboy hat - yup, my Dad! He wears a similar hat all the time! Luckily I was born and named before he got to the hospital, otherwise I might have been called Ethan or such like!
