This started as a simple lighting exercise, but it's turned into so much more. I've decided to create a series; State of Mind (not sure I love this title, but it will do for now).
I think everybody, at one point in their lives, will be able to relate to one of these photos, no matter who you are. This is why I used the mannequin; it transcends identity. It represents an individual, but none in particular. I used the light bulb to represent our thoughts. By themselves, these objects are meaningless, but together, they represent the states of our minds. These are the first of several images in the series. I will be updating my series on flickr, so check in often, and let me know what you think A State of Mind - a set on Flickr I hope you all enjoy viewing these as much as I have enjoyed creating them. A big idea can dominate our minds, and we are burdened until we act. The Big Idea ![]() Sometimes our minds descend into chaos. We are left in the dark, and an idea can be lost forever. Dark Mind

There are plenty more to come! This series will consist of 24 images when it's finished.
Cheers for the comments
