Very Nice, simple composition and perfect exposure. Is this straight-out-of-the-camera or is there some post-production in play here? Either way, it looks fabulous.

I agree with 'jpflan7' that a few more shells behind it would be an intesting variation.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Yes there was some contrast and black adjusting in Lightroom. I need to get more "full spectrum" lighting...the lights I am using give off quite a bit of yellow and orange.

To answer the light tent question...there is a very good article in the how to section. I believe you can find it by clicking on the "Photography tips and tutorials" section under the most popular.

Excellent. Pure blacks and whites. I like.

I was letting my Dad use my Rebel XT; he was trying to get minimal depth of field setting up remington shells and snapping photos. Kind of reminds me of that.
