Default Broken Innocence

Well had a great idea I thought for a shot. Little abstract I guess. I really thought it would look better in my head, the imagery just doesn't seem to pop like I thought it would. In looking at it as well, think I should have brought the camera lower to the ground and tried to get a more horizantal shot then looking down at it, might have added a little more depth to it

But I call this Broken Innocence.

f/8
1/250s
0ev

Shot with the d40x and 18-55mm kit lens, raw form.

Little PP in cs4 to adjust the wb and bring out the red a tad in the ball.

Hi Dennis. Just viewed this full size in Flickr, and the idea is great and the shot perfectly exposed. I wonder what it would look like if the ball had landed a little more forcefully and created a bit of a splash, creating a pattern in the snow. Possibly easier said than done. Just a thought. Love it though. PAUL

Good idea. I have been waiting for just the right location to take it and got lucky last night and got around 9 fresh inches of snow.

For that shot I just threw the ball up and let it land, hench the un touched area. I will go out again this afternoon and find another section and throw it at a slight angle into the snow and see if the "splash" will carry forward and shoot from the front.

Thanks for the compliment as well!
