Last summer, on a road trip through northern New Mexico, I fell in love with the land of Georgia O’Keeffe, the 20th century artist who was married to photographer Alfred Steiglitz. She spent many years of her life at Ghost Ranch and in the nearby town of Abiquiu, painting her amazing “macro” flowers and the beautiful vistas of desert and mountains that surrounded her. And this summer I’ll be going back! Ghost Ranch is now a conference center, with week-long programs through the spring and summer. I’ve registered for a workshop in July called “The Visible and Invisible: Photography and Spirituality.” It would be great fun to have a DPS contingent there, so I’ll attach a link. (I’ve had some interesting e-mail conversations with the instructor, so please feel free to PM me if you’re curious.) The conference center is very family oriented, with a wide variety of arts-related workshops for adults and programs for kids from age 3 through high school going on at the same time. Helen, although every one of these is wonderful...you know number 1 does it for me...the tree with that background...awesome.
Looks like that old nag is enjoying the retirement...probably done a lot of work in his/her time.

Fantastic set of photographs Helen! Thanks for all the background information too, it's like having encyclopaedia access! All the shots are beautiful but my particular favorite is the first.
