First try at light trails

I came across your great site via the light trails tutorial. So yesterday evening I had a go,I posted my 3 best. Hope they are ok and I would really appreciate any feedback or tips you have on any part of these so I can improve.

I used a Canon powershot s40
13 seconds shutter
F8
Iso 50

Welcome to DPS - for a first attepmt at light trails you've done a good job. Try getting on a motorway overbridge, they offer a briliant spectacle for this type of shot

Very nice shots. Really like the fact that you were able to capture the elevated light trails(must be truck or bus) in the first two and the flare on the street light in the second shot. Beautiful.

I liked the first one best myself. Yes it was a bus that went by "was pure luck though"
I must say it really boosts your confidence to have people tell you that you are on the right track to taking better photo's.

very very good shots. i always use a tripod of some description and fire my canon using a wire or remote trigger... so you dont get any shake. Failing not having them ,use a 2 or 10 sec delay whatever yours has..so it settles. That takes a little more planning
