Default A visit to the water gardens.

Well the sun was shining and although it never got above -6 this afternoon I went for a trip to our local water garden to feed the birds. Hard to feed them and try to capture images at the same time, they were all hungry today. Anyway here are a selection of my images from today. Please enjoy.

Birds In Flight.
Belper Water Gardens 1

After The Bread.
Belper Water Gardens 5

Little Bird - Big Feet.
On The March

Fly Past.

Anyway the larger versions are on my Flickr page if your bored "Thanks for stopping by".
David.

You seem to have had a ball today David with some great captiures. Love that moorhen. He looks like he's a member of the Gestapo. Yes, i enjoyed. PAUL

A nice set, David! I like all of these, but the last one is my personal favorite! Outstanding capture.

Cracking shots David! My favorite is the 2nd one - love how you composed it, and the white birds against the snow are fabulous.

Thanks Paul, I knew if anyone would know what the big footed bird was you would. I just called him Joe. So pleased you like this set, it's been a glorious day. Not job so nothing better to do.

Thank you Mike, it is always a pleasure to know you have enjoyed looking at my images. I am trying hard to get it just right with the birds in flight bit. Still lots to learn but onwards and upwards as they say. Thanks for looking.

Nicky, it is always a nice feeling to know that you have popped by and taken a look. Just pleased you like this set. Seagulls are pretty easy to figure out, they are greedy so throw the bread in the right direction and there's ya shot. That second image was taken off my hip as I threw the bread, amazed it was in focus.

Ah Patrick, nice idea but think I would end up getting run in by the law, mine are all grown up and no grand kids anytime soon. Just happy you like this set and I will try harder next time to perfect my throwing and shooting at the same time

Hi Hayward, thank you for your kind comment, it is a pleasure to know you like them. There is something about photographing birds that makes me want to keep going back and doing it all over again. Next time it's got to be birds of prey if I can find any in my area.
Thanks for stopping by.
David.

Thank you for your kind comment, I am so pleased you like these images. That little Moorhen was acting like it owned the place, it was so funny striding up and down. I do have a couple more I will stick on here in a bit. I hope you will like them too.

Hi Lenoa, so pleased you like these, made almost getting frostbite worthwhile
There is something funny about gulls, they are so cheeky and greedy that they fall over themselves to get in the shot. Happy you popped by.
Take care,
David.
