Well I'll tell you right away, it makes me really uncomfortable and a little scared. Must be a great portrait to evoke such emotion Well done!

I like the creative use of focus. The detailing on his hand is great too - very sharp.

Thanks

I placed the hands over his face (keeping the eyes intact) to obscure his face with the "finger gun". By obscuring the face I was hoping to make the image more intimidating since his face is hidden and unclear. If I was able to shoot this one again, what I would do different would be to lower his thumb some, his thumbs draws a lot of attention...

Awesome, that's what I was going for.

Don't worry, in real life this he's as scary as a bag of doorknobs. =D

Great looking portrait. I would rather have him as a friend than an enemy!

Cheers,

Reminds me of Gran Torino... which is a good thing... my favorite movie of all time. Funny thing! Cool portrait.

It is a scary image, and I think you have done well there in capturing that emotion of the viewer. Glad to hear he is a friendly fellow! TFS.

Great portrait. And I smiled seeing his other pic further down in the posts too - love your comment about him being as scary as a bag of doorknobs!
