Default One of those magical places...

There is definitely something magical about this place. It's one of those local landmarks that you might never know existed, that seem out of place and time. The Sunol Water Temple was built in 1910 and at one time half of San Francisco's water supply passed through it. It was a popular picnic spot for many decades but it became badly deteriorated and was damaged by the '89 quake. There were talks of demolishing it and it was closed to the public. Luckily, it was restored and reopened to the public. It has inconvenient visiting hours, it's only open Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. It's one of those places you could drive by, never knowing it was there in the middle of nowhere. These were taken near the end of last summer and I plan to go back sometime soon to take some more pictures because I feel like I have learned enough over the last few months to better capture it's essence.

Nice pictures, thank you for sharing. I really like the perspective on the second one. Nicely done.

Very nice. For your "Underneath" photo, I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking: was this done all in camera or did you happen to copy in the sky from another photo? Regardless, it's well-done.

The sky actually looks better in the unedited photo, but you couldn't see anything under the dome. This is the completely unedited photo. All of my pp work was trying to get some of the painting to show up that's in the dome.

Thank you, sometime in the future I will probably re-edit this photo. My photoshop knowledge has come a long way since I first edited the photo. When I redo it, I'm gonna keep the sky as is from the original and just play with the part under the dome a bit.
