Default A Canadian winter sport

I am not happy with the -18 temperatures but it does open up some winter fun

I have to say, I've never understood ice fishing . . . but I do ski from time to time and there are people that don't understand that, so I guess "to each his own . . ."
Really nice pictures, though!

I used to ski when I lived in Alberta and British Columbia, but there is no hills in Ontario to come close here so I can't bother, and I live 2 minutes from a popular ski hill.

Ice fishing is something that when people try they seem to really enjoy it, fisherman or not, and the fish are so fresh out of the cold water. It is also accessible for most a $10 rod and your set to go, no boat needed.

Now when they see you driving your truck out they think your insane

Amazing - I have seen this on TV - but people actually do it! What sort of fish do you catch through such a small hole?

We live in Colorado and my husband loves fishing so we bundle up and go along with him. My kids love it too but I hate the cold. Im originally a So Cal girl.

Love the reflection shot!

You are brave to go ice fishing! But we Canadians have to find something to do in the winter!

Love the shot with the reflection on the glasses!

Ohhh that's a little too cold for me to call fun! Maybe with enough alcohol for anti-freeze!!

I've seen a lot of that in my past, but wouldn't do it in a million years....much too cold.
Great shots you got there.
