Default Startled - Making a hasty exit

Been out for a walk in the beautiful sunshine and freezing winds today and visited a local man made lake to see what if any bird life was around. Nothing exotic but the usual ducks and seagulls, I had just settled down to capture a bird drinking when a dog ran onto the ice and startled all the birds into flight. Needless to say there wasn't much point in hanging around in the cold after that and I took only a few shots. This being one of the last

Startled.

Aw, shame about the unwanted dog David, but he did at least provide you with a great photo opportunity which you captured so wonderfully! Love the shadows of the birds on the snow, what beautiful lighting.

I love the four in the foreground. You captured them in different flight positions and the shadows are great! Well done.

Nice shot David, like the shadows created by the bright light.

The shadows on the snow are awesome David...great shot even if it wasn't what you planned.

As a parting shot David, I'd say that's a pretty good note to part on...nice image!

Often some of the bestkeepers were unplanned and spontaneous David. And this is one of those. Great. PAUL
