Gggaaaaaahhhhh! I am SO jealous that you and other photographers have gotten such amazing shots of deer! They are rampant in my yard and I just cannot get them this sharp. If I try to set up my tripod to use my 300mm they go running.

So.........I am very jealous of this amazingly gorgeous photo!

Thank you susan. I don't use a trypod. A little trick to get close is to ride around in areas you see deer by the road and take your shots from the car. Don't try and get out or they will run...............just roll down the window and take your best shot. That's how i got this one...............uncropped, i was about 25 feet from her.

He/She is a beauty.
Pity about the distracting grass in front of the deer, but one can not always have it your way when one shoot on the moment.

I see your name. The title suggests a deer shot. I get excited--kinda like knowing I finished my dinner and now I get desert. Yep. Open the link and here you are with yet another stunning photo. Just beautiful!

Thanks kgb, you have to take what they give you. I actually kind of like the weeds infront of her. Her eyes are sharp, that's what matters most.

Can the subject of a photograph be tactile PT.
I only ask because the one constant you produce time after time is quality animal hide. You can almost reach out and stroke the coat of this animal, and that good work.

I'm sure both of us know a good one when we take it ( although I yield to you in the "deer" contest)..this has the feel to me of " quick look a Doe right there "and I can relate to a quick draw shot.

But what really catches my eye on this one is your DoF, which since you give me Ap suggesions when I get a new lense...

I am curious to know which lense you used and of course what your settings were. The deer is in great focus and with the leaf and small braches in front of her means you had to manual adjust it...Everything on the foregound has a blurr and the background is blended with a little bokeh.

So inquiring minds wants to know how ya shot it buddy ???

It looks like you lived up to your "PrimeTime" moniker with this primetime capture! We don't see any deer here but even if we did I seriously doubt I could pull off a shot like this one. TFS.
