Default Sent home from work due to snow so........

i went for a short walk with my camera, here's a couple of shots i took


this is my favourite of the day

Panasonic DMC-G1
F/3.5
Exposure 1/30sec
ISO 320

Exposure 1/30sec
ISO 400

As i'm a complete novice i'm still in auto mode

Hi and welcome! Those are both nice shots, but I really like the first one. The perspective is very cool. Can't wait to see more!

You al are really getting hammered with it aren't you.....we never get sent home because of snow!

Great composition on the first one. You should read some of the beginner tutorials here on DPS and you will be out o auto in no time

thanks Paul, i have to confess that i was dragged out by the wife so decided to take the camera and she held the brolly to keep it dry

thanks for the kind comments, i've been looking at the tutorials and they are really helpful, this is my first DSLR or SLR so i'm learning from scratch
