Default Derbyshire in Winter.

Had to get out again today to stop myself going "Stir crazy" so wrapped up warn and headed off into the country side to show you what this wonderful county has to offer. Here are a couple of images that I attempted today for your enjoyment, I hope you like them.

Avalanche Country.
One of many "Dry Stone Walls" to be found here in Derbyshire.
Avalanche Country

Crich Stand.
Memorial to the Sherwood Forresters Regiment. Can be seen for many miles in all directions.
Crich Stand In Winter

Winters Sun.
Always wanted to try and capture an image directly looking at the sun. First attempt.
Winters Sun

Shadow Of The Tree.
Love the way the shadow falls on the crisp snow.

What a beautiful set David. You can't beat your region of England for such gorgeous scenery. The dry stone wall photo is priceless - love your perspective, especially looking away into the beautiful blue sky. Love how you composed the memorial shot too, and the shadows on the snow in the sunshine photos are gorgeous!

Thank you Nicky, so pleased you like them. Paul and I are so lucky to live in this beautiful county. I have more images of these walls than I know what to do with.

Ah thank you for your kind words. I really like the 1st image too, it looked like it might crumble at anytime but it was around -3 out so no chance of a thaw just yet. I always wanted to try a shot into direct sunlight so for a 1st attempt it's not too bad. Just glad folks like them.

Wow great set David. Nice that you got out. Cold isn't it? lol. Love your DoF in the first one and the lovely contrast in the second, great perspective in the last two and the contrast of the shadows on the snow is excellent. Great work David my friend.
