Hello again DPS!
Central Park is always a wonderful source for photography. The Falconer's statue framed by autumn's leaves and branches: ![]() An old man looking away, courtesy of my 300mm equivalent zoom ![]()

nice pictures... the second one is very detective like, like there's a story to tell

I agree, and the way I took it was detective-like too: my wife in between, unwillingly almost hiding me and my camera, and me trying to capture the expression of that man.
![]() You may wonder what he was thinking about...

I love both these shots - the statue is very nicely framed by the trees - it almost looks as if the branches have been pruned back especially to give you that vista and surrounding space! And the exposure gives a very good silhouette.
The picture of the old gentleman calls to me in many ways - his pose and the way he isn't quite looking directly at you; the way his face is half hidden behind the collar of his jacket - is he cold, or is he hiding something - or hiding from someone... perhaps he's a spy; and his rugged features suggest he has a few stories he could tell. You've captured him beautifully, and the picture is one of those that drags you in and sets your imagination working... what more could you want from a photo! Well done on both counts, but especially the second shot IMHO. TFS. Grumby

I would have used a llower f/stop to desharpen the image around the face. but you composition is perfect otherwise.

![]() Unluckily my telezoom was already using its higher aperture (f5.6) @150mm (300mm equivalent on my E-520). ![]() I was thinking about some retouch in order to blur the background, but ended up with just some cropping and bw/sepia.
