Default Natural Arch

I am both happy and disappointed with these photos. Disappointed because it is such a lovely place and I feel could have done a much better job with exposures, but I didn't have the time to muck around, far to many people and others with us wanting to move on.
Happy because I at least got something reasonable despite everything being against me.
The sun kept popping in and out, because of heavy rain the water was cloudy and there was wind rushing through the cave spraying water all over the lens.
Once again they are far better viewed large.

My fave is the second one, the lighting and detail is good.

Can't pick a favourite Michelle. They are all spectacular. When I look at shots like these I think, it took millions of years for these formations to be created, they will still be there in millions of years from now, and you captured them for about 1/60 th of a second. Sort of puts life into perspective don't it? Thanks for these. PAUL

Fan-bloody-tastic! That third one is amazing. You did very well under the circumstances.

Where is this gorgeous place? TFS.

This is a beautiful series Michelle ..no reason to be dissapointed Looks like real difficult light conditions from screaming highlights to almost black shadows. I like the 2nd one best even in these tough conditionsyou were able to bring out the subtle colors of the water....go work

Thankyou Just Jim, it is just inside Queensland in the Numinbah Valley, almost on the border of N.S.W.

I think the trouble is, it is such a well photographed place, and I have seen some outstanding photographs, I'm measuring mine against some stunning photos. Maybe as I grow in understanding of what I'm doing I will some day get the photo I'm after.
