Default What a difference an hour makes

All of these were taken on the same day within the same hour.. The first was taken just a little north of Santa Cruz at 5:17pm. The second and third were taken in Pescadero, CA at 5:55pm and 6:03pm. The fog came in pretty quickly, and it just kept getting thicker, it was a fun drive home. These were taken a couple of months ago but I just got around to processing them today, lol.

The California coast is just that way isn't it? I used to live in San Jose and would spend weekends at Aptos or Santa Cruz on occasion

Really nice captures of our foggy Cali coast! The light in the first shot is beautiful, I like the warm tone.

It's the Pigeon Point lighthouse in case anyone is curious and it's the tallest one in California and one of the tallest in the United States. Sadly, the tower hasn't been open for tours since 2001 because a section of the exterior fell off. Hopefully, one day it will be repaired but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime in the near future.

Interesting set. My favorite is the lighthouse. I like how the fog has eliminated all other elements so the focus is on the lighthouse alone.
