I took this shot on New Years day at Styal Woods in Cheshire England. It's my friend and his family coming out of the woods. I was testing my new nifty fifty lens out and was pretty pleased overall with the shot. It was bitterly cold but the sun was glaring making the final image look too warm. So, I've desaturated the colour a bit to give it a look of how it actually felt there that day.

Yeah using this lens a lot at the moment.
Here's the original raw file (converted to JPG though) so you can see what I mean about it looking warmer than it actually was. ![]() And I wasn't being lazy with the composition and not getting closer, I happened to have my (nearly) 2 year old son on my knee screaming the place down so I couldn't move lol.
