Wonderful, Chip! Beautiful composition on the begonia, and fascinating patterns on the bubbles. Great stuff with that new reversing ring!

Thanks, Helen. I thought the pattern on the bubbles was interesting, too.

Thanks, Jill. The reversing ring is a cheap way to get into macro. With a short prime lens, the magnification factor can be relatively high. (Just for reference, the actual size of the yellow part of the begonia is roughly the same as the size of this smiley face. ) My sense is that using this reversing ring outside (where wind is a factor) or for moving subjects will be difficult at best, though - so, it does have some limitations.

The magician has new props, and the results are very impressive.
Macro work is not something I've tried but I do enjoy other peoples results unless they post too many bugs.
Chip - not too many bugs please

Thank you, Steve. As for bugs, since I can at best to capture a stationary bug, my list of potential bug subjects is quite low. So, you're safe.

Great shots, Chip. Love the contrast in the first, and what incredible geometry in the bubbles. Well done, sir. TFS
