Default Happy to be back!

So, I went out for my first photo outing since getting my D90 a few weeks ago to replace my water logged D40. It was overcast and we ended up finding an old caboose displayed in the middle of a small town and some supermodel dairy cows. My favorite shots ended up being images of cows...go figure. We pulled over to the side of the road to photograph them and they literally came running down the hill. They clearly get fed by passers by and were sure that we had something for them...we didn't. One of them tried to lick my lens which I doubt would've been too tasty. Anyway, here are a few shots from my first time out in months. Thanks for taking a look. I'm so happy to be shooting again!

great to hear you are back shooting. Love the cows noses!
And these old pieces of rusting machinery are always great subjects, especially for textures. Excellent set.

Welcome back Suzanne. Withdrawal symptoms will be disappearing now I suppose. Great set here but I am absolutely bowled over by No 3. This is a demonstration of simplicity at it's best, has a strong diagonal perspective and exudes texture. I love it. PAUL

Thanks Jill! The cows were so sweet and we were very lucky to find the caboose. I agree with you, old rusty things are always great to shoot.

Wow Paul! I'm really flattered by your comment. Yes, the withdrawal symptoms are subsiding. There's actually some blue sky today and my husband looked at me sideways when I said I wanted to go out and shoot again. I'll bring him around.
