More different stuff

I took these back on the 16th of December when I was in Georgetown. I went by this old school building which was converted to a rough lumber storage yard.....Nobody was there but there is a man on the street who sells this rough lumber to people who use if for whatever. There was also some old non working machinery laying around which was used for sawing and milling the trees into this rough grade lumber. I took a few close ups of the machinery.....In all honesty, if you click on the shots of the buttons and view in large size and just look at the buttons for a minute, they willl grow on you......they are quite artistic in their own right.....how each one was designed to look just so......they look the same but exhibit their own individuality.....It's a strange set coming from me or from anyone for that matter but along with things I enjoy shooting, I am going to try to push my boundaries a little this year for better or for worse......

Great perspectives Patrick, especially the last one. I do love the buttons too, you're very right, they're so individual with their own artistic flair. The gauge is an interesting photo too, quite a gem of a find.

Superb set, Patrick. I am amazed how you manage to capture mudane objects and present them so artistically - must have a great imagination. I agree with you on pushing boundries, otherwise we will never know the best we can do. Best of luck.

Great captures Patrick, very well done, love the angle you have captured all of these, it's amazing how many more photo opp's lurk around the corners out there when we think outside of our comfort zone, well done and look forward to seeing more, cheers Steve and good luck for 2010.

Thanks for your comment....I have seen others post mundane stuff and most of the time it is just a matter of how the light comes off of it or changing the angle or just showing a remotes corner of it that changes the whole feel of what the viewer sees......and the results opened my eyes to greater possibilities...

Fun shots! I was in a mechanical shop the other day and had so much fun taking photos of machinery and parts. I will post some tomorrow (since I already posted today). But I do believe my favorite is the last one!
