On a quick visit to Dallas for business I made sure to stop by some of my favorite restaurants. If you know me then you know my love for food. I enjoy fine dinning as well as cooking myself. I do consider myself somewhat of a foodie so I would normally go for something more elegant.
With that said, I do also love comfort foods and BBQ is a staple that you have to judge certain cities by. Dallas of course is know for many things but BBQ is certainly one of them. This is Pappas BBQ which is a great place and I highly recommend; this is their 3 item special of the night which included ribs, brisket and sausage - I had to include a Shiner Bock which is a Texas brew that is a must try. ![]() ![]()

Cool set Nick! I love photographic diary type stuff & love seeing places through the eyes of others here, it's so much fun. I do also recall a night of Shiner Bock in November 2008 at a conference in San Antonio. A bit of a headache next morning!

Yes, I lived in Dallas twice and Shiner has gotten me a few times! I wouldn't expect anything less from a Sox fan.

Hehe! I can't claim all the credit - I was coerced by a Texan! Peer pressure, you know how it goes....
