In this cold weather been having a few visitors to the bird feeders in the garden.
Here is a common example - not great shot as I was hand holding with my 300mm lens leaning out the kitchen window, but thought I'd share it anyway. (did think of putting up hubbies fishing tent as a hide to get closer but too darn cold for me at the moment!!) ![]()

What a wonderful little visitor! Love the crisp clear focus in the first one. Looks like it might be in a similar family to our chickadee or titmouse -- do you know what kind of bird it is? He has such beautiful coloring.

It is a Blue Tit and very common here in the UK. They are gorgeous little birds and every year they nest in a hole in the cottage wall that backs on to our garden. As soon as the eggs hatch they are backwards and forwards all day long feeding the youngsters with insects. I'll have to try and get some better shots then..

Well have to say these are really cool images, Love the sharpness and contrast in both of them, especially love the colour in the first one but I think the second one would be even more outstanding if it were a little brighter as to give more detail to those beautiful branches the blue tit is sitting in
![]() Well done on a couple of cracking images and I look forward to seeing more soon. Thanks for sharing them with us. David.

I love the colors of the bird you have captured.
Nr 1 is my favorite. The focus is pin sharp in the first capture.
