Default December's Eye

This one I took last Sunday at a small artificial lake close to my house. Usually there are some ducks, geeses and other nice (yet uncooperative as far as modeling goes) birds, but no luck this time, so I venture myself in a landscape shot. Was early enough in the morning to get (what I think) some decent natural light. Some minor PP with Photoshop and a little touch-up with Photomatix to give the rocks in the front a more "alive" look.

As always any comments, critique and suggestion on how to improve the final result is more than welcome.

pretty good looking.....be sure if you pp, that the reflective surface accurately reflects the sky......The sky looks much darker than the water.....the composition however is pleasing to the eye!

how do you manage to bring out so much contrast?
is that just the camera or is it something you have to do for yourself?

Pictures like these intimidate me all the time. They make me think I'm missing something VERY big in my photos. Turns out it's only post processing. I guess I'm looking in the wrong places for improvement!

Thanks A Million.
