Default I'm new- my first shot- D90

Just found this forum and I am excited!

I'm just getting back into photography, since my boyfriend picked up the hint I dropped and bought me my D90.

Here is one of my first shots, a friend's baby girl at morning breakfast. I love how disheveled she is... (sorry if it's too big, or too small? )

Congrats on the new camera and congrats on being a new DPS friend. Keep up the great portrait work and let's see some of your landscapes.

What a cute first post! And congratulations on the new D90! Can we clone your boyfriend? Welcome to DPS. It's a great place to learn and grow as a photographer. I think you'll find people very supportive here and like, Up North Photos, who hails from Alaska and me from Arizona, you'll find people from all over the world. It's pretty cool. Welcome aboard.

Thanks! I used to monitor a forum and am thrilled to join a new community! hopefully not too much of a forum rat...

As for the boyfriend, he definitely earned some points! now if I can only drop hints about new lenses and editing software... any suggestions?

Welcome aboard! I've only been here a few months and have already learned a ton and tried some new things (some successful, some not so much, but still having fun!)
I just started to try out The Gimp (gimp.org), which is Photoshop-like and is FREE. It took me a bit to figure out the basics, but seems to be pretty powerful. I know I have a lot more to learn, but there are a lot of tutorials out in the web-o-sphere.

And, I just noticed you're from Boston, too! I'm just up 95 a little bit...

Welocme Teresa from a fellow D90 owner. It is a great camera and you have made great use of it. Which lens did you use?

Better resize your pics for the forum. Flickr does it for, if use medium size there.
