Default New Years Eve and a New First

On New Years Eve, it is our family's tradition to stay home with the family, eat crab legs, and play games until we watch the ball drop on TV.

Since I love seafood, and will try most anything once, my mom got me some escargot to try. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd order it at a restaurant, lol.

And a game of Euchre

And my new first: my first decent shot of a bird in flight. I know it's not that good, but it's better than all my other shots. I kinda like how the sun is shining through the clouds and it almost silhouettes the bird.

Hey PR, Happy 2010, we played games and watched a movie until New Year rolled by. Great shots and I absolutely love the bird... It's an unusual one but, It's very good.

One of the things I noticed about your bird shot is how much larger the bird in flight is compared to all of the little birds perched on the branches

Staying home and relaxing is so much better than going out and waiting for a table in a restaurant, fighting the crowds, traffic, etc.

Yeah, the one flying is a dove and the rest are sparrows.

I love your bird in flight! It's not just the capture of the bird, it's the composition too. Wonderful! And thanks for sharing your family's fun New Year's Eve tradition. Wishing you a wonderful 2010!
