thanks for the compliment. i have to admit that i about have a heart attack everytime i hit submit with my photos. i am a little intimitated about posting my work. especially among people that have some great shots. i am such a perfectionist about my work i drive myself nuts sometimes. i am really wanting to post some in the critique section about my macro work, but haven't worked up the courage, yet. i am really just looking for some pointers. we live in a tiny town with no culture or knowledge of these sorts, so i am on my own when i comes to learning {which is how i happened upon this very website}. anyway, thanks again for the nice words and if you happen to have any suggestions about macro photography, throw em' my way. have a great one!

Welcome to DPS, Shara -- looks like you're having so much fun with that new macro lens! I'll look forward to seeing many more wonderful macro photos in 2010!

Shara, no need to be intimidated...we all started at the beginning with much to learn.
These shots are really well done by the way...good DOF...and just keep shooting and sharing.

Very nice job with the macros. If you're just learning, I can't wait to see what is to come. I need to start saving my pennies for a new piece of glass . . .

BTW, your comment on loving all things old and rusty will now have me singing like Oscar The Grouch all day. "Anything dirty or dingy or dusty, anything ragged or rotten or rusty . . . I love trash!"
