Default Blue Moon Rising

Happy New Year to all my DPS family and friends. This was taken about 1/2 hour after the full, blue moon cleared the mountains. Hope you enjoy the New Years celebration and wish you all the best in 2010.

La Luna...so beautiful and what a perfect night for a full moon. So full of promise for a bright New Year!
I hope you have a wonderful New Year, Ron.

Thank you Linda, A new year is a tough thing to face never knowing what lies ahead. I'm looking forward to whatever the gods have to offer and want to see what your creative juices exhibit for the new.

I'm envious of the clear skies you're having for such a great shot of this rare occurance (first new years blue moon in 20 years). I had hoped to capture the same here in Ontario but total cloud cover and light participation - weather is one thing we can't control - right?

What a wonderful photo! Even though I've known better for a long time now, I still always hope that a blue moon will really be blue. Even though this is simply moon colored, the silhouette of branches makes it so very special! Thanks for sharing this photo, and I wish you many more beautiful photos in 2010.
