Default ARCHES in the snow

Had a fun (and COLD) Christmas break vacation this year. Went to Arches NP, Canyonlands NP, and Dead Horse Point State Park.

We would have liked to go to Bryce Canyon, but the winter storm a week ago snowed us in.

Enjoy!

Wow! So pretty! Great shots! The composition and colors are wonderful. I like the contrast of the snow on the rocks. The last shot is very sharp and clear. Thanks for sharing

Thanks

It was worth freezing my fingers off in the morning to capture Mesa Arch at sunrise

Michael, These are the photos one looks for in the brochures...or as fine art in a gallery. They are some of the best I've seen of the Arches. I don't care how cold it must have been--okay, that sounds cold--but stay with me....these shots were worth every freezing moment! Sure warmed my heart!

That ice is really remarkable...there is just something about that rich red sandstone dusted with that white snow
