Default Mark's attempt at Macro fly pics

Just a few of my first attempts at Macro photography.
I am still playing around with the settings and reading the camera's manual to understand lighting, shutter, exposure and other issues.

Thanks Howard!

I plan to get plenty of practice in this Spring while camping and fly fishin' with my best fishin' buddy, Bear.

Mark, WELCOME to DPS
These are not bad at all...love the last shot in the water. Keep it up...practice, and share, here you will learn.

Obviously,I didn't take the one of Bear and Me, it was taken by a friend several years ago with his daughters diggi SLR. I couldn't believe he brought it on the stream with us--bad things often happen to cameras on the stream; thus the reason I bought my Optio W80 for fishing pics.

I plan to continue trying to improve my photographic skills--currently non-existent. I work at Appalachian State University and I am presently finishing up my MPA and I think I just might see if ASU offers any photography classes. I got the best of all worlds, as a staff member I get two classes a year for free and a master level classes only cost me around $350, if I decide to take more than the two classes currently offered for free (used to get three free classes, but the economic downturn caused cutbacks). I'm 51, but I still love taking classes--no kids or wife, so my priorities change with my changing interests!

Take care and thanks for the encouragement!
Mark
