Default Northern Hawk Owl

---Was out in a snowstorm this morning hoping to get so good Plains Bison shots and this little guy appeared - it let me take one shot and was gone.

Taken with Nikon D300 with 300mm F4 and TC1.4 teleconverter

Congratulations on going outside, having the right equipment, observing that there might be a shot and that you got it good!! Excellent, esp since you knew there would not be many chances for retakes.

Wow. What an awesome bird. And an awesome photo. Well done. I was trying to capture birds in flight last night but I failed where you succeeded.
