I like the way you have captured the pohutakawa tree in these shots, that red of the flowers really stand out, love the second and last shot with the blue water in the background, thanks for sharing, cheers Steve. Is that rangitoto in the background in that second shot?.

@Steve, Yeah it is Rangi I tend to take alot of rangi photos, its a great subject lol.

Look at that little island out there with boats all around......Can you get up onto that island or is it too steep?

its a really lil island called the Tor... hence the area is called Torbay. You can get to it at low tide... by walking through the sea for about 100 metres. My friend found a Maori Adze (Adze - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) buried on the side of it. It is a stone chizel type instrument. One day I should climb it and take some shots from the top... im a bit lazy though haha
