Default Filling the frame

We read everywhere that when photographing to get close and fill the frame with your subject. Yesterday while waiting for the lab to print some photos I went for a walk along the beach and boardwalk in a nearby city.I was able to put this advice into practice and take a few shots.

An unusual angle, but the only way to fit everything in this close.

Odd Angle

That worked okay, so I tried as close as I could focus.

As Close As It Gets

I was a little curious if this guy was alive or not so I reached over and rubbed his head. I found out real quick that yes definitely alive as he tried his best to have my hand for breakfast.

You followed the rule and the pictures turned out nice. Nice job. The close up showed clarity of details and texture. You really filled the frame with the subject and it tried to fill its beak with your hand. Happy Holidays!

Great photo. I had one once try to swollow my head. I was trying to back up by one for a pic, turned and I was starring down his throat....

Great photos! Love the composition of the second one, and the beautiful back lighting. And I'm glad your fingers are still intact!
