Default First Photos

I finally took that giant leap. At age 52 I took my first college class in Digital Photography. Until Sept 2009 I have never even shot with an SLR Camera or used Photoshop. In Nov I actually bought myself an Nikon D5000. I'm totally enjoying my new passion. I posted my Final Portfolio from this class. Here are a few of my favorite shots

Welcome to our DPS family patriciam, you have come to the right place to share your shots, everyone here is friendly and encouraging. These shots and the others on your flickr are brilliant, you have done extremely well for just learning a new camera and hobby. There are so many shots that are my favourites I can't choose just one. I look forward to seeing more from you. Merry Christmas.

Welcome to DPS! I agree with Chrean...it's never too late! I'm going to take a class with my 70 year old mother next semester.

Your shots are really nice, it'll be great to see what else you have to share after more time with your D5000.
