Default Solitude and Isolation

Merry Christams all, I have been shooting the lights and trees over the past couple days. I have what I think are some goodies and will be posting them over the next few days. Here is one I am unsure of but am kind of partial to it. This shot seems to have a sense of solitude to it, would love to hear what ya think.

Very cool shot, Duane. Two lonely elements. I love how they seem to feed off of each other. Nice job of making the background drop out!! TFS, and a very Merry Christmas to you! Thanks for all your wonderful comments on all of my threads! Have a great holiday!!

Like Jim said, the two elements do seem to play off of each other but I still can't really tell what the light source is.......

Pat, the light source is the light coming from the light post.

Hi Duane - this is a very dramatic image that can be interpreted in so mnay ways ... I see it as a Source ... without light, there'll be total darkness ... can hardly wait to see the rest of the "goodies" .... happy holidays

This is a mesmerising image. I like mesmerising images. They are like a mantra, and in this case fills my mind with light even though the predominant proportion is dark. The subject does not dominate the frame by virtue of it's size compared to the negative space around it, and yet it is dominant insomuch as without it there would be no picture at all. Simple and powerful sums it up. This type of capture is what it's all about for me. Thanks. PAUL
