Smile Dance Jathre

I made my first visit to a Live performance called Dance Jathre (Means Dance Carnival in Kannada) . It was a Indian classical Dance festival. What a performance it has been. The beautiful Dancers and even more beautiful performance left me speechless.

I would like to share some of the pics i have taken at the performance. Hope you all like them.

Kuchupudi - 4

Kuchupudi - 2

The Link to the set is here.

Dance Jatre - a set on Flickr

I would also love to hear your comments & criticism on the pictures if any.

Thanks,
Kiran

They look pretty good to me except for one thing. I don't know what the lighting was like or how they looked in real life but there is to much red for my taste. I see you had your White Balance set to auto & I'm sure your camera did a pretty good job of trying to get it correct. Did you by chance shoot in RAW mode? That way you could tweak your White Balance & the photos would look even better. Just an opinion. Maybe something to consider in the future.

The lighting was primarily Red, Orange and Blue. I left the color that way to preserve the atmosphere as they have created. may be i was wrong.

I will try to fix it in future. Thanks for teh suggestion.

I would have to agree - a tad too much red, but if thats what it looked like to the naked eye, then it was well captured.

Also, you might get more views/comments if you post the actual pics in your thread not a link to another site... people like me with a prehistoric computer have issues with the time it takes to load so we just skip the post and move on to another... Just a thought.

Anyway, stunning pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will add in some pics on the thread. Since there were a little too many, I added in a link.

You can add a couple of shots(your favorites) & also add a link for those that are interested in seeing more. When you use Flickr, people can click on any of the photos & it will link back to your Flickr account.

I agree that if that is what they looked like at the time & you like them as is, then so be it. These shots are for you, & ultimately, who really cares what we think.
