Default Just Say No to Shrooms

These little buggers caught my eye during my morning walk on the UWF campus today. I wish I knew what species they were.

PP in Photomatix, five exposures from one RAW file.

The green is a nice touch. Is it part of the fungus?

I'm not sure. I'll have to go check and get back to you on that!

I think I will call this The Chistmas Mushroom. Maybe I'll start a new trend.

I've never been able to get anything usefull out of Photomatix. You have done an excellent job here, maybe you can give some lessons!

Nicely done! I'm not a fan of the overdone, cartoonish HDR. This uses HDR for what it was meant to do, IMHO, capture the full dynamic range your eye saw. The grass might be overdone in the sense that its vibrance draws the eye, but this is a great shot. When do you plan to put it on your wall?

I like the textures on this one and the green squiggly thing! Well done.
