Talking 9 Foot Super White

Friend let me borrow one of his Alien Bee B800's so I could have two of these to work with using my super white backdrop. I live in an apartment so space is very limited. I had to sit all my couches on end so I could set the screen up. While setting everything up the animals looked very concerned they could tell something was going on.

Maybe with some more training and treats I can get them more used to performing for the camera.

The cat was not posing very well on the backdrop. My girlfriend and I decided to give Makita a chance since shes actually trained. As soon as we started taking pictures of Makita the cat kept getting in the frame wanting to be a model.

She kept jumping on Makita and trying to show off. I guess things never go as planned but sometimes you can get surprised by the results. For the next shoot I want to work on doing more of a high key look. This shoot was mostly just for testing and proof of concept I know what I need to change next time.

1. Keep cat locked away while working with dog.
2. Train Makita to look at the camera when I say camera.
3. Make sure I feed the cat just before the shoot since he seems to be more active when he just finished eating.
4. Callibrate my Mac, the whites are not as white as they should be on my callibrated work monitor.

Awesome shots here. I have five dogs and none of them want to ever cooperate, but sometimes things just present themselves.
