Hope you enjoy these final photos from the Sabino Canyon walk with lindyannajones. My thanks to all who commented on the first two threads in this series, http://digital-photography-school.co...er-desert.html and http://digital-photography-school.co...long-path.html. Your kindness and encouragement mean so much to me -- what a wonderful group of people to be sharing photos with!

Wouldn't Moses be surprised, to walk up to the rock and turn on the faucet?

And here's the little pumphouse up high on the hill:

I loved the shapes of the rocks, the undulating hills, the clouds:

And at the end of the day, the lights of Tucson beckon in the distance, calling us back out of the wilderness and into our day-to-day lives, enriched and deepened and renewed. (Go to the large size to see the little lights.)

Deep peace I breathe into you, O weariness, here:

Nice finish to a beautiful set Helen! Your comment on the first made me laugh and I really like the lighting on the third, it's perfect!! Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks, Jim. You probably don't know that I lived in Tucson from 1996 to 2008, so I come down every now and then to see old friends -- Linda is one of the very special ones! We had such a perfect afternoon out at Sabino Canyon -- I'm sure her photos will be amazing! Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thanks, Brian. I'm glad I could make you laugh -- I did too when I saw that faucet coming out of the rock, out in the middle of nowhere, and Moses was my first thought. There must be a reason for it to be there, but I don't have a clue!

Rain, sky, air, earth, doves, rocks, hills, dales, city lights. We are surronded by taken for granted elements that you have brought to us here Helen in words and pictures. Glad you had fellowship with a like minded companion. And getting water from that rock? Much easier than clobbering it with a stick! Thanks, and Merry Christmas. PAUL

I've loved all your photos from the Sabino Canyon series Helen. These current ones are beautiful too - love the light at this time of day, & you caught some fabulous clouds for great effect too. What a lovely set. I agree with you too - it's such a lovely group of folk here to share photos with. I've loved getting to know people here, and also seeing their hometowns and lives through their cameras. So much fun. And I can't believe I'll be getting to meet you in a few days!

What a beautiful way to conclude a great series Helen. All 4 shots are gorgeous but the 3rd and 4th are exceptional with the great skylines. Job done well on a lovely afternoon walk!
