Default Who You Callin' Yellow?

On our way to do some grocery shopping, my wife and I stopped at a small orchard. The trees were barren, but the field in which they were growing was polluted with yellow flowers (or perhaps they were weeds). The shots have more impact seen full-size.

A black and white treatment of the previous shot:

A freshly planted garlic field in Gilroy, California, self-proclaimed garlic capitol of the world:

Enjoy!

Lovely shots, especially 1 2 and 4. What lens were you using?

My favorites is nr 1,2 and 4.The B&W do not do the lovely colors justice my friend. The colors and blurry yellow background in nr 1 is superb as well as the contrasting colors in nr 2.In nr 4 it is the colors and lines that draws ones eyes into the picture.Superb series posted by you.

These are brilliant captures Kurt. I love the yellow surrounding the barren trees. I have never heard of garlic fields, hmmm not sure if I would like to get that close to one the smell must be strong.

Excellent set Kurt, I like them all, and having seen the second I think they would all convert well to black and white, seasons greetings to you and yours

Thumbs up

Stunning set!
Like everyone already stated, I don't like the BW one 'cause that yellow ocean is just too bright and wonderful to be rendered without colors!

I have to agree with Christo about the colors and the lines. No 3 does nothing for me....because the color is fabulous. Nice set of shots.
