Default Trying manual for the first time

Hi im new to this forum.I stumbled upon it two days ago when I decided that it was time that i leave my familar auto territory and seach to use some of my manual settings. Google hey presto DPS. I have been looking at some of the tips on this site and had a go at takin a few photos of my beautiful baby girl. I was proud of these ones so I thought it would be nice to share them with you all. Bear in mind they are all manual settings and manual focus to.

Manual rocks! Take charge of that camera, don't let it tell you what to do!

And, yes, you do have a very beautiful daughter. I think you wore her out by the third shot though.

Welcome to DPS. I look forward to seeing many more of your photographs.

This is an excellent start to taking charge of your equipment. There's a place for manual exposure and manual focus and also assisted exposure and auto focus. Being comfortable with all of them will open new worlds of creativity for you......And Welcome to DPS!

Those are very nice, especially if you went from full auto to full manual without going somewhere in between. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to DPS, esmapo! This site has the best people to share photos with -- we're all learning and growing together and it's so much fun. Yours are just wonderful -- I'm so impressed with these as a first attempt at manual, and your daughter is such a cutie! I hope you'll keep sharing her with us.
