I couldn't figure out where to start.. and since I opened up my new camera yesterday, this sections seemed like a decent place.

This is a ceiling lamp in my home that is actually matte grey, not this odd dark blackness that it came out to be. I think it is interesting how it came out semi-haunted, almost computer drawn.

Thanks,
Jeff

That looks like a portfolio light from lowe's.....I have one similar to it......I think that the coloration in this shots is pretty cool

I agree. It looks like 'mood' lighting. Isn't a new camera the best kind of fun? Enjoy.

Nice shot! I agree, it does look like it belongs in some catalogue endorsing it somewhere!

Yes, I like your description of semi-haunted -- it definitely has that feel. What fun you're going to have with that new camera, and I hope you'll continue to share the fun with us. Welcome to DPS, Jeff -- this is a wonderful place to share photos!

Looks pretty cool, my guess is that you pointed your camera at the light on auto mode and it metered for the brightness of the light bulbs and that caused it to under expose everything else around it making it that darker color.

Auto mode minus the flash. That left the cool shadow on the ceiling as well.

Thanks for the high fives. I really do appreciate it.
