Default Costa Rican Hummingbirds...what a challenge!

On my honeymoon with my lovely new wife, we encountered a hummingbird sanctuary near the Arenal Volcano. The mountain was covered with clouds and lighting proved to be a real challenge, expecially when the subject is moving at lightening speed. We did manage to capture a few though, hope you enjoy the little fellows.

Congratulations on your wedding. Aren't hummers just a challenge though? These are pretty good shots considering. Nice work. Have a Merry Christmas with your new wife.

Aren't those iridescent feathers just the most amazing things? I can't even imagine attempting to photograph them -- way beyond my skills at this point -- so I'm very impressed! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Thanks there...they were really difficult, especially in bad lighting without a good flash..that will be my next purchase.

We used to have a feeder back in Texas and had almost a hundred stopping by regularly...we had hours of fun watching them...hope you do the same.
